Healthy Holidays Program

I have to admit that I am not the hugest fan of the Christmas and New Year period. It always seems so….manic. It is really hard not to get drawn into the the craziness of over-spending, over-giving, over-eating, and over-partying.

Don’t get me wrong, I love being able to spend time with those I love at this time of year, but I just wish that it wasn’t laden with so much stress, that there wasn’t the over-tone of angst to go along with what should just be a fun and relaxing time of year.

I was thinking about this the other day, and it got me thinking about what we need in order to stay sane and healthy over the silly season.

I believe that it all comes down to having people to keep you accountable and having support along the way. I mean, how hard is it to resist the delicious yet sugar-laden treats that abound at this time of year when you are being urged by those around you to indulge. How difficult is it to say no to another Christmas Cosmo Cocktail or no to another party invite when it feels like you are a solitary person trying to stay focussed on your health.

Don’t get me wrong, it is ok to indulge a little bit at this time of year- but the problems arise when indulging is every day and you totally lose focus on your health, you get too busy and stressed to focus on self-care and you decide it is easier to give in and be one of the (unhealthy) masses.

So, I have decided to provide a way for you, my loyal tribe, to get the accountability, support and motivation you need to thrive, and not just survive this holiday season.
